Mr Pete Gallacher Consultant Knee Surgeon and Sports Knee Specialist

Pete is a knee and sports knee specialist based in Shropshire with clinics in Oswestry and Shrewsbury. He provides a comprehensive knee service from sports injuries around the knee through to the management of arthritic conditions. He has a special interest in ligament reconstruction and joint preservation surgery and provides a tertiary service for complex knee problems including knee dislocations, cartilage repair with stem cells or chondrocytes (ACI) and meniscal transplantation. One of the key principles that Pete adheres to is performing joint preserving surgery wherever possible. Trying to maintain function and quality of life for patients of all ages.

you will normally need to get a referral letter from your GP prior to a NHS or private consultation

Acute knee injuries are seen as soon as possible (ideally within 7-10 days of referral).
